Both the PS3 and the Vita versions use a cloud-based game save mechanism, and they're mutually compatible. This means you can play the Vita version on the bus, save it, and when you get home, pick up at the same point on your PS3.

Little BIG Planet for Vita has some fun game play. A combination of the analog and touchscreen controls for a better experience.
The tennis game, can be played with just touchscreen or just analog controls.

PlayStation Vita vs Nintendo 3DS
Nintendo has a good implementation of 3D on the portable, but PS Vita feels more powerful. For casual gamer, Nintendo 3DS should be ok. If you need a powerful portable gaming device, go to PS Vita. Price: Vita $249, Nintendo 3DS $250.
