Lionel Messi Transferred to EA's FIFA

EA has officially chosen Lionel Messi as the new ambassador for their football game franchise, FIFA. 24 old year’s football player with short stature is seen by EA will be able to represent the spirit of football the way want they want it and certainly effective as a powerful marketing weapon. For the first project, Messi will appear in the latest series - FIFA Street, scheduled to be released in March 2012. Although it is unclear how much money spent to recruit Messi, but EA calling it as the "Greatest Transfer Season".


This is not the first time Messi has been chosen as an icon of a football game. He also once as an ambassador on FIFA competitors, PES in the year 2010. However, a non-binding nature of contracts made Messi is now turning into a major marketing weapon to strengthen EA FIFA products around the world.
