This year, Spielberg returns to give his best in the film adaptation from the classic Belgian comic works by Herge, The Adventures of Tintin. Apparently, Spielberg does not work alone. He worked with Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings trilogy, King Kong, District 9) to sit on the producer chair and then animation works to Weta Digital, digital visual effects company owned by Jackson.

The Adventures of Tintin movie version was adapted from three Tintin adventures, The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham's Treasure. In this film, Tintin and his dog, Snowy, adventurous search for the secret behind Unicorn imitations ship, the ship managed by legendary Captain Sir Francis Haddock. Tintin also must race against time to uncover the secret together with Captain Haddock, the descendants of the Unicorn ship owner, and prevent it falling into the hands of the secret Ivan Ivanovitch Sakharine, a descendant of Red Rackham who is the mortal enemy of Sir Francis.

The first response when watching this movie was "awesome animation". This movie is made using 3D performance capture technique, allow viewers watching animated films with almost the same level of with a live action movie! Using a technique commonly used for making video games, each character in this film moves is very smooth and detailed. Not to mention the portrayal of the settings in each scene is so charming, amazing! I can say that Spielberg's Tintin successfully describe a very different way: full of advanced techniques and technologies but do not leave the hallmark of Tintin which takes place between the years 1920-1970's.
Apparently, Spielberg and Jackson do this project very carefully and try not to damage the image of Tintin in the eyes of fans. Each character in this film is described by identical, both in appearance and behavior. Spielberg does not change anything, except the decision to combine three Tintin adventure story into one movie.

To watch this movie, you do not need 3D glasses because everything will look so real. Consider every detail is, you will be amazed by this fantastic work. One more thing, Spielberg also did not forget to maintain the characteristics of each character (especially the speaking style of Captain Haddock). Be prepared for Spielberg and Jackson plan to make two sequels of this film!
