Some of you may have been missed The Three Musketeers (2011) movie ending and credits of the movie. Spoiler alert for the plot below.


Ending of The Three Musketeers

Athos, knowing that exposing the Cardinal's true colors would collapse the order in France, fabricates a story: he tells the king that the Cardinal arranged the building of an airship for him, and discovered an infiltrated traitor who would try to sabotage it - Rochefort. Therefore, he ordered the musketeers to secure the airship and stop Rochefort, giving them permission to act; Athos shows Louis XIII the authorization signed by Richelieu and the king believes his tale. The king, sighting the jewels in his bride's neck, gladly joins her in a dance, assured that she was never unfaithful to him. While the king and the queen are distracted, Richelieu offers the musketeers to work for him; they refuse, and the Cardinal leaves promising that one day they will regret their decision.

In the final scene, Buckingham saves Milady from drowning in the channel and reveals that he intends to avenge his defeat, personally leading an entire fleet against France.
