EA's Battlefield 3 tagline: "Above and Beyond the Call" attacking Activision's Modern Warfare 3?
The war between the two biggest FPS franchises in the gaming industry, Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 seems increasingly heated. After the business "peace" expressed by Activision not showing result, EA now appear more extreme. Through the latest trailer for the Xbox 360, Battlefield 3 openly attacked Modern Warfare 3 via a way that is quite "elegant". Carried as a new tagline Battlefield 3, EA is proving its seriousness to seize domination.
Through the latest trailer to be used as an official ad of BF3, EA took Jay-Z to fill the soundtrack. The song "99 Problems" turn the trailer full of beat with a more pleasant atmosphere. Gamers are treated to pieces of the battle that pamper the eyes and dramatic. For the console full of limitations like XBOX 360, this trailer still deliver a superb visualization. The most interesting thing? Of course the last tagline used directly to close the trailer. EA wrote emphatically, "Above and Beyond the Call".
Regardless of the ambiguity that may arise from this last tagline, we certainly understand the true meaning of this sentence. Using the word "The Call" is enough to show the attitude of the EA and those who want to attack. A proof of the confidence of the EA Battlefield 3? Or an arrogance that will probably end up disappointed? If only Activision had the courage to respond by the latest trailers Modern Warfare 3. This will be a war begins, "favors" to be listened to.
