Many were surprised when pop singer Jessica Simpson announced her engagement to her boyfriend of six months, former NFL player Eric Johnson. This seems to be a reaction to her ex-husband Nick Lachey's recent engagement to Vanessa Minnillo.

Well, if Jessica Simpson's father hasn't seen the red flags then he is blind. Simpson would be stupid not to make Eric sign a prenup. Thank God she changed her mind.
"I think she's on a cloud right now," Ashlee said on Wednesday when asked how Jessica Simpson was feeling about her engagement to NFL tight end Eric Johnson. According to Ashlee, the couple's wedding date is still unknown, but she did know how she felt about her future brother-in-law, saying, "he is amazing."
