Gmail speed issues, there's many reason why your Gmail slow to load, slow connection, or slow to send email. Or lately you feel it not faster than usual. There's a lot of cause to the issue. I'm fixing my Gmail issue with following methods.

  1. Change Gmail Theme
  2. If you using theme in your Gmail, then try to turn it off. Follow this steps: - Go to top left of your Gmail page, click on setting (located next to your id, such as yourname@gmail.com) - On setting options, find Themes on most left next to Buzz - Click on "Classic" to change the theme back to default. - Below screen shot show how to change your Gmail theme.
  3. Switch to Older Version or Basic HTML
  4. If above method is not your issue or still not solved the problem, then the best way is to swith your Gmail page to "Older Version" or "Basic HTML". Here are the steps: - Scroll downside on your gmail to the footer, you will find "Gmail view: standard | turn on chat | turn off buzz | older contact manager | older version | basic HTML Learn more". - Best practice is turn off all the extra features, like turn off chat and buzz. - The final solution is switch your view to older or basic HTML.
  5. Firebug user
If you a Firebug user; or your browser installed with Firebug Plug-in/ Extension, then follow below step.

If you'd like to keep Firebug running, you may improve Gmail performance by following these steps:

    2. Click the Console tab.
    3. Select Options.
    4. Uncheck Show XMLHttpRequests.

    1. Click the green or red icon in the bottom right corner of the browser window to open Firebug.

If disabling Firebug for Gmail doesn't improve performance results, you may have to entirely disable Firebug.
  6. The Best way to speed up Gmail.
If none above methods still not solve your issue, the problem might came from your Internet connection, but don't worry. There's still a solution for this.
