UFC 117 Silva vs. Sonnen kick off

The main event will be West Linn's own, and Team Quest product, Chael Sonnen taking on arguably the best pound-for-pound fighter in MMA, Anderson Silva for the middleweight championship of the world.

As many may know, Sonnen has put on a variable war of words, not holding anything back when it comes to trash-talking the current champion. If he were to pull off the upset win, Sonnen would be the first person in the UFC to defeat Silva, who has been on an 11-0 run since his octagon debut.

The co-main event will feature Matt Hughes taking on Ricardo Almeda in a welterweight match up. Also on the main card will be Junior Dos Santos vs. Roy Nelson in a heavyweight bout that has heavyweight contendership written all over it.
