Spider-Man film director Sam Raimi, In a shock turn event and actor Tobey Maguire and actress Kirsten Dunst would not longer reunite for Spider-Man 4, cause by an disagreement between the studio with Raimi and over the screenplay and villain choice . Despite the original Spider-Man have being less than ten years old, the studio is moving to restart the franchise. Co-chairman Studio Amy Pascal, In a press release issued by Sony says:
�A decade ago we set out on this journey with Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire and together we made three Spider-Man films that set a new bar for the genre. When we began, no one ever imagined that we would make history at the box-office and now we have a rare opportunity to make history once again with this franchise. Peter Parker as an ordinary young adult grappling with extraordinary powers has always been the foundation that has made this character so timeless and compelling for generations of fans. We�re very excited about the creative possibilities that come from returning to Peter's roots and we look forward to working once again with Marvel Studios, Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin on this new beginning.�
Updates from other source also said : "Tobey Maguire and director Sam Raimi has resigned from the production of Spiderman 4. Columbia executives with Tobey Maguire and Raimi plans to make a prequel Spiderman, Peter Parker from the side as a teenager". But Raimi as quoted by Contactmusic said he did not like the idea of Spiderman 4 now, so he and Maguire decided to retire from the production process. Columbia will announce a new director and the players a few weeks ahead.
Til date, the Spider-Man franchise has grossed $1.1 billion dollars in only United States. Now, That studio have aim for hitting a general Summer 2012 release date.
